ABOUT ME

In a past life I worked in IT. Before that, in video game journalism. These days I take photos and surprise waiters and waitresses with $500 tips in memory of my brother, Aaron. I'm also teaching English in Wuhan, China.

My degree is in anthropology, which I finished by studying archaeology in Italy for a summer back in 2007. In my free time I like to travel and be social. If we CouchSurf together you can bet I plan to get to know you. I like making friends everywhere I go.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started officially couchsurfing the summer of 2008 in Memphis. I had a great time. The next summer I had the opportunity to stay with great hosts throughout the eastern US And Canada. I've also hosted and participate in local gatherings and events.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The kindness of strangers, either facilitated through CouchSurfing or otherwise, all around the world. Having people call friends in other cities to find a place for me to stay, or people volunteering their day to be a tour guide -- it's amazing.

I've seen Londong, Paris, Rome, and the pyramids in Egypt, but people I meet remain key to the most amazing experiences I've had.
