About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get tenure someday... and enjoy myself along the way

ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley... but I'm doing my research in Geneva, Switzerland for (at least) all of 2007 and 2008.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just learned about the project, so I'm not really sure. I'm happy to put people up potentially, although I don't have much space: I don't, in fact, have a couch. But there is adequate floor space in my one room downtown Geneva apartment for a sleeping bag or two, or I can scrounge up a mattress and some sheets with advance warning.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only with friends, who I have more and more of in more and more places. The most foreign one was probably West Virginia!

Interests

Physics, history, politics, train travel, neat little towns, walking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a bit of physics and math, which I have actually taught to a) second graders, b) prison inmates, and c) pre-med college students. I doubt many people on here want remedial math lessons... but I can show you around CERN (the world's largest particle physics laboratory) if that would be interesting.
