About Me

CURRENT MISSION

perpetual quest for a new experience

ABOUT ME

Pleased to meet you! My name is Seung-eon kim and currently a senior at University, double-majoring in Japanese study and business administration.

PHILOSOPHY

I possess an extroverted and active personality. I enjoy conversing with new people and am able to maintain good relationships with those around me.
My life motto is "Every man knows his own business best." This motto states that only I am responsible for my action and results and that respect and agreement must occur in the background.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I volunteered as a Korean teacher for foreigners for 2 years in our university. and it was never-to-forget experience! during that time, I met a lot of nice people from another contries. and from my students(They were all older than me, but we got along really well)hearing about special experiences with couch-surfing. and they recommended starting a couchsurfing would be an exciting new experience for me, so I always thinking about if I get the chance, I would like to participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To be honest, I'm a little bit worried because I've never done Couchsurfing Experience before. so I think it's a good opportunity to make new friends. I want to meet nice people when I start Couchsurfing.^^

Interests

I have a great enthusiasm for reading so usually on weekends, I largely engaged in reading. and I've always dreamed of being a illustrator, traveling over the whole world. I not went on to art school, instead intrigued with Japan's cute illustrating, so I decide my major. but even if I'm not art student, I have an experience for illustrating middle school student's reference books for a part-time job.
and I love animals, and now I keep 2-year-old African Pygmy hedgehog.

Music, Movies, and Books

To me,the most unforgettable movie I've seen is classic film, The Sound of Music. so I want to go to Austria someday because I want to visit some places from the movie.
and The movie I 'Life Of Pi' was incredible!!
Horror movies are just not my cup of tea, so I often choose Korean hilarious movies.

I can hum a few lines of a popular K-pop song, but I have many opportunities hear Japan musics because of my specialty. My favorite artists are PUFFY, Superfly, Avril Lavigne.

I read all kinds of books. I think variety is the spice of life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From entering university, I usually spending my vacation volunteering at 'Aekwang-won'-Rehabilitation Facilities for the Disabled at Geoje-island(near Busan, Korea. if you want to get more infomation, please visit www.akw.or.kr!)-. I become a boon companion to physically challenged childrens&teenagers and The smiles on the faces of them were one of the greatest presents I have received in my life. I also learn how to make pottery or look after plants in the greenhouse from there. so I spent a lot of time with handicapped childrens&teenagers making pottery, gardening as their intensive rehabilitation programmes.
It was a moment I'll never forget.

also-
Built homes and paint large murals in Ulan Bator, sector Tsaiz.
looking stars in sleeping bag on India's deserts.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching whatever I can do or know to other people is really best thing. Nothing is more interesting than this! I have been to Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator and teached about how to make Korean food and study English at there!

Learn about new cooking recipe & baking ways is always fun! It always seems to taste wonderful no matter how sloppily I measure things. lol. I'm happiest when other people eating my food ;)

I want to share my overseas experience and so on. I think We can talk about many things under the open sky.
