ABOUT ME

I am 23 and exploring what it means to become more self-relient and to build community in they dynamic crazy world of ours. I have spent the last year in Central America (Costa Rica & Nicaragua) studying Permacultual farming. Right now I am extremely fascinated by urban farming and aquaponics (growing fish and plants in a recirculating and symbiotic micro-ecosystem).

I just got out of my third ten-day silent meditation retreat (vipassana) and am working to bring the teachings of the Buddha into my life with each new breath.

I want to play music and listen to music and see music and feel music in everything. I have been traveling with my guitar and try to teach myself bit by bit when I have time. Lately I have been listening to a lot of St. Vincent and this band called 'The Givers'. My favorite band is 'The Dirty Projectors'. I am fascinated by LaBlogoTheQue.com and 'Take Away Shows'. Right now I am listening to Beirut's 'Real people Holland'.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe in stewardship of mother earth. I believe that when you have negative states of mind you never keep it to yourself you always share that negativity with others. You are also the first to suffer. I find that if you have positive states of minds you share that and are the first to be rewarded. May all be happy.
