Hi there! My name's Severin and I'm originally from the US. At the moment I'm living in Germany, working as a "doktoranden" researching pathways for implementing more renewables into the European energy system.

For the last decade or so I've lived as a bit of a "nomad", living in many different places within the US until eventually finding myself in Germany. I actually prefer this at the moment, however, since I think it has exposed me to many perspectives and ideologies which I never would have otherwise seen. Of course eventually I will find a place to permanently call home, but where that ends up being is anybody's guess!

In general, I care most about learning new skills, gaining experiences, and having an overall positive impact on the lives of the people I touch. I highly value considering another person's perspective, even if its not a perspective which is applicable to me. And I'm almost always willing to do something new if for no other reason than because I haven't done it before.
