About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Boldly Eat What No Man Has Eaten Before (but only if it is cooked well)

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in San Francisco. I live in a bubble, full of colorful people. I feel I am totally unprepared to live anywhere east of the Bay Bridge. I did feel at ease in Phnom Penh, however. I'll take Cambodia to Texas in any lifetime.
I'm engaged. When I met my fiancee she was ignoring me on the beach in Vietnam. But I got her attention with an offer of bangers and mash. How many guys get dates with potatoes and sausage? Hmmm...

PHILOSOPHY

"If you look like your passport photo, you need the vacation"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I buy drinks for my friends that are more active in couchsurfing. Have to keep them hydrated.
Really, though, most of my travel the last three years has revolved around visiting my girlfriend in Leeds, England or Liege, Belgium (both being beautiful travel Meccas). I surf her couch...so to speak. We'll be married soon. And then its back to seeing new parts of the world! Woowoo!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We tried in Europe, we really did!

Interests

I spend way too much time vegging out in front of this defective computer, biking, cooking, my vegetable garden, sailing, staring at the mess in the kitchen. I dont match socks.

Music, Movies, and Books

We're going to finish the last DVD of Deadwood this week. After that I'll throw away my TV because there wont be anything that good on again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed to Hawaii in a 32 foot sailboat. There was a hurricane off the port side. ROUGH ride. And overwhelmingly boring. I read everything on the boat and smoked lots of weed (for the seasickness, of course). Didn't drink much though...peeing with 15' seas for two weeks is not pleasant or safe. And you get a BAD hangover before you even get a buzz.
