About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go everywhere, see everything, meet everyone, or die trying

ABOUT ME

I'm an occasional software engineer, but a constant adventurer. I've been out of school and working for 6 years, but in early 2010 I left my job to travel to Australia and Indonesia, after which my wife and I bought a sailboat and went to Mexico and back. Now we're once again living and working in Seattle, WA.

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna matata, live life one day at a time, take some risks, make the most of every experience, drink life to the lees.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Free-soloed the steep side of Ragged Peak in the Sierras.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach surfing (waves not couches), rock climbing (including setting protection), how to rig & sail a sloop, how to brew beer, how to bake bread, computer programming, poker, how to make sushi, how to install a light fixture/switch, and how to drive a stick-shift. I'd like to learn more Bahasa Indonesia and French, plus just about anything science, outdoors, cooking, or music related.
