About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Current mission is living life to it's fullest.

ABOUT ME

Gee, this is an open ended category. I love people and get to meet and spend time with all sorts in my job and being in the city where I live. I also have lived with people my whole life and been a guest and a host many many times, so I think I get it and know how to be helpful but not imposing, considerate, but not aloof, and generally feel the "flow" of where I am and then just go with it.

PHILOSOPHY

Do it, enjoy it, and help others to do so too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled places and wound up being invited to stay with strangers when I was asking them for directions to a hostel. I have hosted countless folks, including a couple of friends who had 2 dogs and a truckload of luggage who needed to stay for a month in my spare room.

Interests

I love arts, creativity, and self expression in almost all forms. From soaking up every detail of an old master's painting, to seeing music or theater in the park, to opera, a thrash metal band in a junkyard, costume parties or just chatting about someone's experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost any genre that is well written, acted, shot, thought out and/or original. Recently read Water For Elephants and loved it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked solo in Alaska for two summers, trekked the Himalaya for a month. Lost myself in countless museums around the world and getting thrown out at closing time. Slept on the floor of a train along the length of Mexico. Eaten countless weird and wonderful things along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course I am happy to share any of the knowledge I have and teach any of my skills. But something I have found to share that I really love is some cooking technique or food, whether it's a grilled cheese sandwich, a killer smoothie or pasta from scratch.
