About Me

CURRENT MISSION

in grad school, traveling when i can...

ABOUT ME

A laid back, open minded traveler, always try to be respectful of other cultures, as I'm a guest...Usually I travel with my girlfriend or friends, but it's hard for most people I know to get the time off. So, I must go it alone sometimes...

Love to paint/draw, as well as take photos...travel feeds the eye, the mind, and the soul. One of my artistic inspirations is John Singer Sargent, who spent a few months a year doing watercolor around the world. Nice life...

PHILOSOPHY

try to be respectful, and try to be yourself...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new to couch surfing, so I'm just figuring out how this works...Looking forward to meeting other travelers along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none yet, but i'm looking forward to meeting cool people...I'm so happy this site exists...

Interests

drawing, painting, photography, food!

As for travel, some of the best travel moments are simple conversations, people watching in an old cafe, and some of the quiet moments of traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: lots of history, plus V.S. Naipaul, Murakami, and various other novelists.

As for music, I have wide ranging taste (jazz, punk, classical, depends on the mood)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

festivals in India, remote corners of Indonesia, music in the streets of Cuba, the frenetic pace of Tokyo, drawing in Petra for days, swimming in lonely beaches in Tunisia, riding camels for a week in the desert of India.

Basically all of us who travel have these moments...they're inevitable, and that's why we love to travel. I look forward to hearing your stories...

Teach, Learn, Share

If i'm in your home as a couchsurfer, I can teach you what I know, that is how to draw and paint. Plus I can help you practice your english if it isn't your first language. I can teach you lots of slang words, as I grew up in New York...

Countries I’ve Visited
