ABOUT ME

Je suis une flaneuse. I love to travel and am never really in one spot for a very long time. My nickname growing up was "Flit" from the movie Pocahontas because I always needed to be moving and/or doing something. As a way to continue my nomadic lifestyle, I am about to leave for the Peace Corps in October, but really want to travel with my closest friend before leaving.

I hear about this from a friend who couch surfed in Ireland and Spain. She loved it. Swore by it. Alas, here I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much anything BUT country. I like to make my own music; I play piano, saxophone, djembe and I love to sing. Sim Redmond, Foster the People, Mumford and Sons and Phantogram are the four artists of the last four songs I have recently listened to. LOVE LOVE LOVE Madeleine L'Engle's Time series, Hunger Games trilogy and anything by Johnathan Safran Foyer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am alive to say that I was chased by feroceous baboons while living in South Africa. Baboons are not like Disney made them out to be...no Rafiki by any means!
