About Me

Hey fellow couchsurfers :)

I am from California , but spent two years studying a master in Europe. I have lived in many countries at this point and would like to continue doing so. I am a nomad at heart and love exploring new places and cultures.

I studied applied ecology and environmental sciences and am about to start an internship in Berlin doing zoological research. I love animals and nature, but am also very much a city girl. I stay very busy and enjoy going out with good company, enjoying music and some drinks. But I am equally fine with both having a fun night out or staying in with friends, making food, and having a game night.

I love cooking and making food and drinks for people. I try not to eat meat very often unless it's from a good source and am mostly vegetarian for environmental reasons. Fish, especially sushi, is my weakness, but I try not to overdo it.

Music is extremely important to me. I love singing, going to shows, and going to concerts in general. I have been singing and performing a lot in LA and will continue to pursue that as a hobby everywhere I go. Many of my friends are in rock bands and love shows as well. Rock and metal are my favorite genres, but I am open to all kinds of music.

Anything else you wish to know, just ask me. Looking forward to meeting some new CS friends and to hosting once I have my own place :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and get a great local's experience wherever I go. And to provide the same, I love to take people around my home city to my favorite spots.

I am not a high maintenance guest, I am very independent and like to explore places both alone and with people. Don't worry about always having to entertain me, I am very adaptable and am always finding something to do.

I have met so many interesting and wonderful people back home and in my travels who I still keep in touch with. I always look forward to meeting more.

*** Note:

If you contact me on here, please be appropriate. I have had some issues when meeting with potential hosts two times now and with people messaging me in general.
It's sad I have to write this, but you should not be on this site with an intention to meet a girlfriend or hook up with someone. I will not respond kindly to this in anyway.

Only offer to host me or ask me to host, if you are genuinely looking to make a friend, discover my city or show me your city, or want to help a Couchsurfer in need or require the same during your travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock is my #1. 90's and 70's are my favorite rock decades. I love 80's hair metal. 80's new wave. Metal. Grunge. Industrial rock. Alternative. Prog rock. Hip Hop. Some indie. Electronic. Anything I can dance to.

Some of my favorites are: Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Alice In Chains, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, Aerosmith, The Cars, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm, Garbage, Royal Blood, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd... lots more, but these are on my current playlist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of my master, we went to Ecuador. There, we got to do field courses in the Andes mountains, the rainforest, and the Galapagos. The places we went to and local people we met made it an extraordinary experience. It also bonded a group of international masters students and made us into an extended family to this day.

I also went and did my thesis on Rodrigues, Mauritius, with endangered fruit bats. Getting to live on the island, make friends and work with Rodrigans, improve my horrible French, and work in the jungles with these animals was an incredible adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about music, philosophy, travel experiences, and truly getting to know the city I am in and advice on how to adapt to life there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to cook for people and have some staples (Mexican-Cali style cuisine, some vegan dishes, and cocktails), as well as love to exchange music. I am always up for exploring, a good karaoke night, concert, and/or jam session. I know a few good jokes and many bad ones (like dad-style jokes, you have been warned).
