ABOUT ME

My name is Shadae and I am a 23 year old mother, artist, yogi, poet, jewelry maker, and soon to be doula. I love to travel and I do every chance I get. I also enjoy dancing, hiking, and cooking/eating delicious vegan food.

My fiancé Matthew is a holistic nutritionist and is interested in the same things as me. That's why we get along so well :) He's a bit more science-y than me though and can often be found researching political activism against corporate agendas and anything that has to do with Terrance McKenna.

Our baby Zion is 13 months old and is the best and cutest kid I've ever met. Yes I know I'm biased but he is. You'll find out once you meet him. Super well behaved and co sleeps with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed once this summer when I was in Maui. It was awesome and it inspired me to return the favor for others when I get the chance. Unfortunately, I don't have a couch available since I am between moves, but hopefully I will soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The top of Mount Haleakala in Maui at sunrise! And the 300 foot waterfall at the Seven Sacred Pools in Hana.

Birthing a child naturally tops my list now. So hard, yet rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I am not yet a yoga teacher, I have led groups of friends in yoga before so I can do that. I am a free lance art and fashion model. I write poetry and I can make awesome roasted cabbage, among other things...
