CURRENT MISSION

Meg and I have recently cut ourselves loose from North American responsibilities and are heading to South America to gain some perspective and to experience life outside the North American paradigm in cultures far different and older than any we've known.

ABOUT ME

We are both adventuresome, fun-loving people, who have a genuine interest in life beyond the confines of the american mentality (sadly canada falls into this category) I am a trained juggler, acrobat, clown and performer. Meg is trained in Ballet and Modern dance. We teach gymnastics on Vancouver Island, both in a school and on the beach (on the west west coast) We surf, we bike, we hike, we read, we laugh, we play, we sing, we dance, we drink, we toast, we enjoy our lives as human beings on this planet as best we can everyday we are lucky enough to live here.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing is set in stone. Anything we made we can unmake, remake or improve upon be it ourselves, our governments, our economies, our religions or our lifestyles. All were created by humans at one time or another in (hopefully) the best interest of humanity IN THAT TIME and all can be remade by humans in (hopefully) the best interest of humanity (and maybe its time to think of every other life forms on this planet as well) IN OUR TIME. Times change, lessons are learned and we must adapt to those lessons. If the boat is sinking you don't need a bigger paddle, you need a different boat.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are both new to the CS2 project and to international travel in general. Megan (at 24 ) has been to France but I (at 31) have never been off the continent I call home.
We are both excited at the idea of this project and would love to be a part of its success in bringing people together regardless of nationality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on more couches in my 31 years than beds. I have lived in 3 of Canada's 9 provinces and in more cities than I can remember. I am lucky to have great friends all over the country who are always glad to have company and I in return have enjoyed being a waystop in their travels when I've been able to (mostly in toronto) so as I'm sure with most people out there Couch Surfing has been a part of my life long before I'd heard of the CSP and thats one of the reasons I believe this project will succeed, it is simply drawing a bigger circle around a part of life we already embrace.
