ABOUT ME

Open eyes and heart, appreciation is the food of the soul. I'm a feminist documentary photographer, visual artist, aspiring farmer, therapeutic photography teacher, lover, laugher, mover and shaker. I currently live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with my partner, two dogs, two cats and 9 chickens.

I love telling visual stories, gardening, sustainable agriculture, ecofeminism, fermenting foods, cooking, learning "old ways", yoga, exploring, singing, playing guitar and ukulele, cultural anthropology, folklore, earth based spirituality, learning, listening, and the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent part of a summer in Scotland and for one weekend found myself at Holy Island, in a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery/nature reserve, meditating and running with wild ponies.

And, I'll never forget the first time I stood under a Redwood in Northern California.

Oh, and speaking of trees, I recently had the pleasure of hugging the Angel Oak in South Carolina. I love communing with trees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to start an art collective someday- a free space to share and grow with a community of open-minded, loving souls. I also teach therapeutic photography classes and am happy to teach the little bit that i know to anyone who yearns to learn. Also, I grew up on a farm and am interested in herbology and sustainable agriculture - always willing to teach, learn, and work together!
