Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Shaharnas, originally from India and currently exploring different parts of the world while pursuing my studies and passion for culture, art, and human connection. I’m studying Fashion and Luxury Goods Management, and I love diving into local traditions, unique designs, and everyday life wherever I go.
I’m an easy-going, respectful, and curious person who believes that the best way to truly experience a place is through its people. I enjoy having good conversations over coffee or a walk around the city, learning new perspectives, and sharing stories from my own journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about people, not just places. Hotels can give you a bed, but Couchsurfing offers connection, culture, and real stories. I love the idea of sharing space, time, and experiences with people from different backgrounds—it’s such a beautiful way to break stereotypes and build friendships.
As someone who’s curious, respectful, and open-minded, I enjoy learning from others and sharing what I can in return—whether it’s a meal, a story, or a laugh. Couchsurfing feels like a community where strangers become part of your journey, even if just for a short while.
Interests
I’m curious by nature and love exploring a wide range of interests! I’m especially passionate about fashion, photography, digital marketing, and how creativity connects people. I enjoy traveling, discovering new cultures, and meeting people with different stories and worldviews.
I love capturing moments through photos and videos, experimenting with design tools like Canva and Adobe, and exploring how tech and creativity blend—especially in the world of fashion-tech. I’m also into music (Indian, K-pop, English), psychological thrillers, and science-fiction films.
Whether it’s the energy of vibrant cities or the peace of nature trails, I love exploring both. Hiking through nature and wandering city streets both inspire me in different ways. I also enjoy cozy cafés, spontaneous conversations, trying local food, and learning things I never expected to.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music
My playlist is a colorful mix of Indian music (from soulful classics to upbeat Bollywood), K-pop (yes, I love the energy and creativity!), and English tracks across genres—from pop and R&B to chill acoustic. I also enjoy discovering international music while traveling—music is such a universal language and always reflects the spirit of a place.
Movies
I’m really into psychological thrillers, science-fiction, and action films—anything that keeps me on the edge of my seat or makes me think. Some favorites include Inception, Interstellar, Shutter Island, Parasite, and John Wick. I enjoy movies that challenge the mind or completely transport you to another world.
Books
I love books that are inspiring, thought-provoking, or creatively written. Some of my favorites include The Alchemist, Ikigai, and Big Magic. I also enjoy books that explore culture, human psychology, or stories that spark imagination. I’m always open to recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is move to a new country alone to pursue my master’s degree in Fashion and Luxury Goods Management. It was scary, exciting, and completely life-changing—I’ve grown so much through the people I’ve met, the challenges I’ve faced, and the experiences I’ve collected.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m passionate about the creative side of technology—especially photography, video editing, and digital marketing. I love using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to bring ideas to life, whether it’s designing visuals, editing videos, or creating content for social media. Visual storytelling really excites me, and I’m always exploring new ways to connect and communicate creatively.
Traveling allows me to not only learn from people but also share what I know. I’m happy to swap tips, collaborate on a creative project, or simply have inspiring conversations. Whether it’s a spontaneous photo walk, a mini content brainstorm, or just learning from each other’s experiences—I’m all in!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe that even small exchanges can create meaningful connections. I’d be happy to share stories from my travels, my culture, and some delicious homemade Indian food if you’re up for it! I can also help with photography, basic video editing, or Canva/Adobe design tips if you’re working on a project or just curious.
I’m tidy, respectful, and always happy to contribute—whether that means helping with chores, sharing ideas, or just having a good conversation over coffee or tea. And if you’re interested, we can even collaborate on some creative content!
