Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Honestly? Because I'd like to meet up with people from different parts of the world. It gets mundane seeing the same faces day in and day out, and this is a shoutout to all of those who want to breakaway from the rut!

I'm an explorer of sorts myself - I like to walk in random places and see random things (I generally like to stroll aimlessly) - you know, the solo traveller... but groups are good too! Finding fellow solo-travellers and/or TCKs is why I'm on Couchsurfing... and perhaps we could meet up and share our experiences?

I don't like watching sports (playing? Sure!), I think I'm a music buff, a self-made IT wiz, and...

What else goes here?

Oh, and I recently started hiking, so... that's cool too!

Oh, and figuring out how things work - like an engineer, but I'm not qualified to call myself one... more like a DIY-and-try-fixing-it-yourself-until-you-give-up-and-call-help guy...

Música, películas y libros

No favorites per se - I either like, or dislike. Haven't read books in a while, but music and movies: mostly whatever's good (mainstream stuff, and some things here and there). Deadpool? Yes. X Men Apocalypse? Underwhelming. Inception? Oh yes! Comedy? (well... so long as it's not cheesy)

I also liked the TV series Lost... there are others as well (which I can't remember), but... yeah... good entertainment = always welcome! Oh, and just finished watching The Walking Dead (I hate season 6's season finale...arrgh!!)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Lived in two continents. Seen two different oceans meet together (Cape Town). Flown on the A380 and seen the upper deck (well - debateable if it's amazing, but for me, I would say it was). Solo-travelled London and San Francisco, would love to go back to my "homeland" (i.e. Africa - even though I'm not African)

Also, I can read people fairly accurately (I'm not a psychologist - it's just fun seeing different personalities - not for judging, but - just... as a hobby... of course, sometimes, I'm miserably wrong!)

My experience?

I know it sounds so awfully cliched, but I suck at filling out biodata. I'm not going to be a narcissist and say "I'm cool", but yeah - anybody who has a different experience than mine automatically qualifies as an interesting person. And that means everyone!

But it's fun knowing how the other person could be... that's the charm in life - getting to know people you don't know. I mean - how can one possibly not want to know what's outside their circle? That's what us humans do instinctively - find out more about our surroundings!
