My name is Shaikat Hossain , serious globe-trotter from Bangladesh 35 year-old and currently working as UN peacekeeper in Mali. I am working as military contingent member.

I've been living in Bangladesh for all my life and in between I spent six months in USA. I spent few times staying as guest in USA. I have visited Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Egypt, Uganda and Sudan.I keep unique memories from all these places, each time I have met loving and sharing people and made new friends from all over the world.

When I travel I love to explore the country I am visiting with tips and special recommendations from local people, and that's why I am now part of the Couchsurfing community! I like to taste new food, go trekking in the mountains, dance, visit hidden places, markets, gardens.. experience the colors and smells of a city, walk around with friends and stop on a sunny terrace to plan the rest of the day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people- my hostel experiences have been great and figured I'd try something similar! Also, meeting locals would be great because this is my first time traveling to a lot of places in Europe so any help/recommendations on what to do would be much appreciated.
