Hey! My name is Shake, and I'm from sunny California in the United States. Currently living and studying in Los Angeles. I enjoy hiking, eating, learning new languages, and all things science.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent a year in Switzerland continuing my neuroscience research at the EPFL. When I was there, I traveled a bunch on weekends and enjoyed meeting people from places that I would visit. Now that I'm in LA, I'm just looking to hang out and meet new people!

I think it's really fascinating to hear people's life stories, and to hear how they got to where they are. But on a more concrete level, I'd love to practice my French and Spanish.
