About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see as many countries as possible and make some awesome friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

My name is Laura and I love to travel! I have been to some very interesting places already, like Peru, Israel and Jordon. I spent a month backpacking through the UK with a friend of mine and I finally made it to my dream country of Scotland and I loved it! I also love languages. My favorites are Spanish and German. Sadly, I am fluent in neither :(
Winter is my favorite season and I only survive the hot summer months by reminding myself that the cold weather and snow will soon return and I will be able to go skiing and walking through the snow flakes!
I live in Boston and am currently working as a nurse in an assisted living facility for adults with Alzheimer's and dementia. I am happiest when I am helping others and making them smile, so expect lots of laughs when we hang out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am completely new to this experience but it sounds like a really fun way to travel and meet new people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at all so far, but I would love to change that.

If you do send me a request, please mention something that you read in my profile so that I know that you are actually interested in meeting me and not just using me for my couch! :) You'll also be more likely to get responses back in general if you personalize them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The highlight of my life was probably when I arm wrestled an extremely drunk Scottish man in a pub in Stirling, Scotland (and I totally won)!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can make a mean apple pie, which is pretty much the most American dessert you could ever have :)
I can also teach you kyaking or canoeing or if you're here for the winter months I could give you some pointers on skiing as well.

Learn: I am a terrible cook! If you could do one thing for me, it would be to teach me how to make your favorite dish!
