Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to look around the world and I like to meet new people. After studying in the university I realized that the culture of a country exists in it's people, not in it's monuments, and that's why I've joined couchsurfing. Albeit it just a few days at a time, I'll have more cultural exposure through the friends I make than I'll ever hope to gain as a conventional tourist.
