About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be radiant with charm.

ABOUT ME

I am a graphic designer and I'm currently working at an interactive design studio near San Francisco. I laugh constantly, I love wine, fresh foods, art and science museums and exploring natural places. I could spend days in a bookstore just looking at the books although I love to read them too. My goal in life is to adventure, to find authenticity in people and places and to ultimately be happy :)

My friend Tierney and I just spent 2 months on a European adventure through Greece, Italy, Switzerland, France and a stop in Barcelona. Switzerland was my favorite country—could it be any more beautiful? We went to Il Palio in Siena and rooted for our contrada. I couldn't believe how clear and blue the water was in Greece. Being in the Dordogne in France made me feel like I was in a fairy tale. My next European trip I need to see more of the Northern countries. I can't wait.

PHILOSOPHY

"THIS IS WHAT YOU SHALL DO: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, DISMISS WHATEVER INSULTS YOUR OWN SOUL; and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body… . The poet shall not spend his time in unneeded work."

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very drawn to the idea that Couch Surfing is about an exchange of culture and knowledge. If you're open to great conversation I love to talk about art and design, fresh natural sustainable food, philosophy, anything handmade and unique. I also have a deep love of typography for any design nerds out there.

I think couch surfing's mission is a wonderful one. How often do you get to truly interact with people halfway across the world from you? Visiting a new location is about more than the sites, it's about the people who make that place what it is. I'm interested in meeting YOU and learning what makes you tick.

Countries I've Visited

France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Switzerland
