About Me
CURRENT MISSION
i hope to learn a lot about culture. it is my dream to work in a museum one day - and travel a lot!
ABOUT ME
Hey there, I'm Marie, 25 yrs old from Magdeburg. I'm open-minded and a very warm, heartly person. At the beginning I am always a little shy - but that doesn't last very long ;) I'm interested in a lot of things and so I love to have long conversations. Oh, and I believe in Jesus Christ, but I'm not a fundamentalist, so I will not try to crusade you. But it would be nice, if you accepted that(some people always mix that up a little bit). And I am totally nosy about other beliefs, so I would be happy to meet some Muslims, Jews or Buddhists, as I do not know any of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been abroad very often and know the feeling of getting lost in an unfamiliar environment as well. So if you want to get in touch with someone in Magdeburg, just let me know. I am also looking forward to travel a lot in the next years and hope, to meet some cool people from all over the world in as many countries as possible. Maybe you are the next one?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As you can see, I'm a brandnew couchsurfer. I would like to explore new ways of travelling, such as hitchhiking and couchsurfing. I would love to get to know many different persons from many different places and everything about your culture. I also like to learn new languages.
Interests
I absolutely LOVE music, books, movies and football (soccer). I also do a lot of sports, for example jogging and swimming. Travelling and experiencing other cultures plays a very important role in my life since I've been a child. My parents teached me to respect others and not to have prejudices - or else, you might miss some great chances to develop yourself!
I also like tattoos and DIY. Sometimes I sew things myself or just be creative with pens, glue and paper.
Last but not least I love to cook and eat with other people. And it's absolutely naturally to clean afterwards :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I could try to start a list, but this would be senseless, as I love Music, Movies and Books. So I will just tell you the most important ones:
Music: I do not like electronic music very much, I'm more into "handmade" music, such as: Rock, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Hardcore, Ska, Soul, Reggae, Singer/Songwriter, Folk, Indie/Alternative...
Movies and TV: Spaghetti Westerns, everything directed by Quentin Tarantino, British Chick Flicks (e. g. "Four Weddings and a Funeral"), Music-Movies (e. g. "Blues Brothers"), Comedies, Sit-Coms, Crime-Series...
Books: Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Bill Bryson (and other travelbooks), "Harry Potter" (the 3rd part is the best!), biographies,...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Supporting my favourite team, FC St. Pauli, in the stadium is always fantastic. It's loud, colorful, warm and exciting.
Celebrating St. Patrick's in Dublin. Getting sunburnt in Barcelona. Meeting some Native Canadians. Swimming in the sea. Nearly every moment on the road was formative.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I already told you, I love languages. So I wish to learn more foreign languages and even can teach you something as well. I also can show you how to live and cook vegan - it's easier as you might think :)
