ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Orange County (the OC) on the Pacific Coast in Southern California. Now living in Northern California pursuing a bachelors degree in political science at the University of California in Davis.

I have never left North America and I am ready to change that! I hope to visit Brazil, Argentina, Greece, Australia, Turkey, and Spain, among other places. Happy surfing :)

I am addicted to movies. Some of my favorites are Almost Famous, American Beauty, Amores Perros, Annie Hall, Edward Scissorhands, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Forrest Gump, Moulin Rouge, Pulp Fiction, Reality Bites, The Royal Tenenbaums, Seven, The Shawshank Redemption, Sin City, Sunset Boulevard, Tootsie, Traffic, V for Vendetta, and Vertigo. As much as I love American films, I also really enjoy European films and filmmakers, especially Pedro Almodovar and Michel Gondry.

Music: The classics- The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, etc. I also love more up to date music, including Amy Winehouse, Arcade Fire, Beck, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Feist, Fiona Apple, John Mayer, The Killers, Lily Allen, Muse, Radiohead, Rufus Wainwright, The Shins, Sia, Smashing Pumpkins, the Strokes, Sufjan Stevens, Weezer, and the White Stripes.

My favorite books are The Catcher in the Rye, A Confederacy of Dunces, Middlesex, Running with Scissors, Everything is Illuminated, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, The Time Traveler's Wife, The World According to Garp, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, East of Eden, The Great Gatsby, The Joy Luck Club
