UPDATE 2 - I’m now living and studying in Lisbon!!!

UPDATE - Currently travelling through France! Cycling along the Loire and making my way to Portugal. Now a vegetarian with vegan inclinations and also training for the Lisbon half marathon.

My name is Shane and I live in Glasgow.

I am currently working as a university librarian having recently graduated from an art school with a degree in exhibition curating. I love working with books and having access to two million of the things at work helps with conserving a bit of space at home.

I live in a one bedroom top floor tenement flat in Govanhill on Glasgow's Southside but I am originally from Bristol in the South West of England.

I'm currently learning Portuguese and I volunteer one night a week at a night shelter for people who are in the asylum system and without accommodation. I also love to meditate, do yoga, make seasonal vegan meals, go on bike rides and read.

I am gay, I have a cat and I live in an area with a very mixed ethnic makeup - if any of these things are a problem for you please seek alternative accommodation.

I can accommodate up to 2 people for up to 3 or 4 days - anything else is a little too close as my flat is more on the cosy side. Always happy to answer any questions in advance!

I like to meet likeminded and accepting people when travelling who don't mind a a veggie hippie queer loafing out on their couch for the night. I love to host and hear about what brings people to Glasgow and Scotland and find out where people have been in the world.
