I am Shane from Singapore. I'm a Graphic designer and I'm proficient in Adobe softwares — Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I'm a brunch connoisseur, social media enthusiast and a (red) wine and cheese lover. In my spare time, I indulge in macaron after macaron whilst planning for my next trip.

I love to meet creative people in the same field as me, people who has a passion for Art and design and definitely people who love to travel.
I'm really interested to make new friends from all over the world and can't wait to see what this world has to offer!

One of my best takeaway from Couchsurfing was meeting Laurita during one of the City challenge event I took part in Budapest.

Background story — We were in the same team scouting for different locations in Budapest. We exchanged contacts/facebooks and we met up again on my last night for dinner, had a couple of drinks and we walked aimlessly around Buda. The following day, I missed my train to Croatia and she immediately offered to host my buddy and I. We hiked up the hill and she brought us to her favourite place that night. I shared with her the beauty of our Singaporean language — Singlish while she taught me German and Russian as we laughed at each other's weird accent. Next morning, she prepared breakfast for us, played card games and she sent us to the train station ensuring that we didn't miss our train this time.

And we met up again! She came to Rome to find me/us and we spent the weekend together indulging in spaghettis and gelato! We made a trip out of Rome, had Asian food, and all in all, we had a great time together... It didn't end there — We met up again in Brussels, spent 3 days together and it was, one word, — Awesome.

Long story short — I really believe that Couchsurfing is the best platform to connect people and making friends from all over the world!

Anyhow, I've just completed my 2 years army service back and currently taking a gap year to explore this beautiful world before doing my degree next year! I have left Singapore to embark on my backpack journey to Malaysia > Thailand > Laos > Vietnam > Cambodia > Hong Kong > Macau > Philippines > Taiwan > Japan > Australia > Indonesia > Thailand > South Korea > China > Czech Republic > Austria > Hungary > Croatia > Italy > Romania > Greece > Bulgaria > Sweden > Finland > Estonia > Latvia > Lithuania > Poland > Germany > Luxembourg > Spain > France > Belgium > Netherlands > Denmark > Ireland United Kingdom > Norway > United States of America > Switzerland> Thailand > Malaysia and back to Singapore!
