Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Find house in Melbourne. Add bees.

ABOUT ME

Kiwi proto-academic travelling with Belgian girlfriend who just happens to also be a wildlife biologist. Looking for people, a place to stay while searching for a place to live, and, possibly, someone to help paint a beehive like a dragon, with the mouth at the opening, so that it breathes a constant bright-yellow bee fire.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As yet, very few! I have met a number of couchsurfers hosted by a friend in Auckland. The Belgian girlfriend I travel with informs me she has been a couch surfer through Wellington, though.

Intereses

Birds, science, SCUBA, rock-climbing, and slyly emptying my Skeptic Gland all over unsuspecting passersby.

Algo increíble que he hecho

One time, I tied a rope around the tail of a dead whale so that we could tow it back to shore through running surf. It turns out that if you need to get a whale through surf, you can simply hand one end of the rope to a local surfer and get him to take the rope through the breakers, rather than trying to keep your boat stable in surf with a whale tied to it.

Later, I helped cut the whale open for Science. If asked, I can tell you about the vital role that garden loppers played in that afternoon's activities.
