About Me

ABOUT ME

Love travel, meeting new people, trying new foods, failing (but at least attempting) new languages, and everything else that goes with dropping yourself head first into a new culture.Grew up in Kerry, Ireland. Studied for a few years, fell in love with travel and hope to use teaching English as a method with which to see the world (or at least as much of it as possible).22 years old so I reckon the guts of the next 5-6 years could be occupied solely with travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Pretty new to CS and have had a few great hosting experiences already, as well as a great weekend surfing in Suwon, South Korea. Hope to have many more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed for the first time in October 2011 and the passion and enthusiasm for couchsurfing that my host gave me hasn't dwindled since. Can't wait to surf again on my future travels, but until then my spare room is available for all comers to Busan.

Interests

Sports of all sorts, literature, just havin a laugh. Like to travel and learn about new cultures, people, etc.Have fallen in love with running over the last few years and want to run a marathon or half marathon in as many countries as possible before my knees seize up. Love a good chat over a few beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Particular interest in African Literature. Studied it for a while in Uni and have kept up the love affair since. Watch whatever is on the TV. Not too picky, but a good documentary will keep me in my seat. Listen to the worst combination of cheesy 90's pop songs ever created. Also a bit of Irish folk and trad music. A nice mixture of everything really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cooked the worlds most impressive "Pizza Burger" in final year of Uni. No meal has ever lived up to it since...

Countries I’ve Visited

Burkina Faso, Cambodia, England, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Scotland, Thailand, Togo, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ghana, Malta, South Korea, United Arab Emirates
