About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly easygoing, fun-loving person that loves good company and is always looking for my next adventure.

Interests

Nothing beats the thrill of learning something new. Whether it's scuba diving, yoga, tap dancing, or aerial aerobics, count me in! This is of course, outside work hours, but thankfully I work in a field that I love. The program I previously worked for helps first generation and low-income students go to college. After that, I worked for a program that provides job training to low-income women, and finally I worked in corporate social responsibility for a major hotel chain. I just completed my Masters in Social Work and am looking to travel a bit before getting back into the 9-5. Thus, my broader field is social work, and I absolutely love it...

I'm passionate about education, social justice, and exploration, and between my job and my activities outside of work, I can't help but feel that I might really just have it all :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Though it's cliche, I'd have to say seeing the Egyptian pyramids was one of the most thrilling experiences I've had. To look at something from a textbook come to life is a surreal feeling, and just the size and presence of them (and the fact that they've literally stood the test of time) reminds you of how amazing and endless the world can really be.

Getting SCUBA-certified was also one of the coolest things I've done lately. It really is another world under the ocean and we're surrounded by it, but very rarely really get to see what's there. It's is one of the most exciting, yet simultaneously peaceful activities I have ever participated in.
