ABOUT ME

Hey everybody! My name is Shane & am new here to couchsurfing. Although everybody I've talked to that has participated with it or done it themselves have nothing positive to say about it. I love to travel, and have new experiences in new places. I am a graduating oceanography student in northern California in the beautiful majestic redwoods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy a lot of outdoor activities. Much of this depends on where I am and what season. My favorite would be scuba diving, really any coastal activity such as surfing, swimming, fishing, kayaking. I like to rock climb, backpack, camp. In the winter I love to hit the slopes and do some snowboarding. I enjoy music, art, different foods, good beer, and dogs (although I no longer have one with me)

I have a huge range of musical interests, and really enjoy going to shows and music festivals. These have included coachella, snowglobe, outsidelands, & high sierra. I consider myself a movie buff so like just about anything. I read from time to time & love triology series. Something about a continuing story.

Scuba dove the Belize Barrier Reef, snowmobiled through Yellowstone natl park, backpacked through Redwood natl park to name a few.

As said earlier I love to travel and hope to see the world one day. One of the best ways to feel comfortable doing this is to get the first hand experience from others who have been or done where your going or did what you want to. Learn from their experiences and apply to your own life and travels. Moreover, I like to spread my knowledge onto others who aspire to travel or do as I have done.
