Hello!
My name is Shannon and I am an Early Childhood Teacher living in Taupo New Zealand. My partners name is James. We love the outdoors, festivals, and doing renovations on our new home.
We live in a small town in New Zealand (yes, where Lord of the Rings was filmed haha) and we would love to meet any friendly faces that decide to pass through.
We have a dog named Odin and two cats called Abe and Vada.
We are fun loving people how are always ready for an adventure and we would love to meet some new people on our travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have decided to go on our first adventure together overseas :) We are travelling Europe for one month and we would love to meet some interesting people who can show us around or simply point us in the direction of fun. I am so looking forward to exploring these beautiful places and seeing the amazing history that Europe has to offer.

I personally love the Rocky Horror Show, Heavenly Creatures, Amelie, Jodi Picoult novels, Regina Spektor, Radiohead, Sia, and most Dubstep or Drum n Bass.

James loves to garden and work on projects around the house. He also likes music festivals, The Foo Fighters, Rock music and Drum n Bass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have just bought our first home together and we are renovating it ourselves. James went paragliding for his 30th and I........well I prefer to stay on going on bush walks haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to do craft work, creating dreamcatchers, necklaces, earrings etc. I also like playing music although it's been a while since I got on the guitar. We would love to show people around this beautiful town, taking them to the natural hot pools or for a drink by the lake.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have a three bedroom house with a spare bed up for grabs. Happy to have visitors who enjoy animals and who like to have fun, share a meal, or go for walks.
