Hi, I'm Shannon!

Born and bred in a small town in South Africa, Kimberley. With stars in my eyes I moved to Cape Town to study Musical Theatre and Drama- which I absolutely adored. The Cape Town and Musical Theatre part.

After graduation I went on to freelance my way through paying rent in true Joey from Friends style. After a stint in India where I danced for an IPL cricket team, the travel bug bit hard and I knew travelling was what I had to do, for the next chapter of my life.

I moved to Hong Kong, where I have been living, working and travelling for the past three years.

My friends would describe me as 'sunshine-y'. I love adventure and appreciate any experience I'm lucky enough to encounter, be it roughing it in the middle of the wilderness or enjoying fine dining in a luxurious hotel.

When travelling, I want to an authentic experience. I'd rather find a cosy, local pub, full of character and chat to a local about life in their world, as opposed to chase after the tourist spots to get that shot for 'the gram'.

Some of my most favourite travel adventures include, trekking to Base Camp Mt. Everest in Nepal, completing my yoga teacher training in India and working in a hostel in the jungles of Sri Lanka.

Family, and 'my people' are the most important things to me.

And my favourite colour is yellow.

I want authentic travel experiences. I'd love to meet new people and share a slice of their way of life.

Interests

I am currently big into running, having just completed my first half marathon in South Africa, earlier this year.

I love anything to do with nature and the great outdoors.
