Overview
About Me
I'm currently a graduate student studying international affairs in Washington, DC. I've lived in Oregon and Minnesota, and I spent two years in Senegal with the US Peace Corps. I also studied for a semester in Jordan, and I've had the good luck to travel to other countries for both work and fun!
When I'm visiting new cities I like to spend my time exploring interesting neighborhoods, trying local food, and visiting parks and doing outdoor activities. On recent vacations I rode a tandem bike in the Alps, hiked to the top of a volcano in the Canary Islands, and went swimming at a hidden beach in Hawaii! On the weekend, I prefer to go out to dinner and a dive bar for a good conversation with friends than to go out partying or clubbing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like traveling and exploring new places, and couchsurfing is a great way to meet people who are from the places I'm visiting, whereas in a hostel you mostly meet travelers from other countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a bike across an entire country ... ok it was the Gambia, which is really small, but it was still a whole country!
