I'm Shannon! I'm originally from sunny Southern California, where I like to surf and camp in local national parks. For the last 5 years, I've lived in Seattle, Washington for university. I'm living in Germany for the next year to take language courses, attend university, and to get some work experience in the cybersecurity field.
But on the weekends, I'm exploring the Bodensee. I live in Radolfzell currently.

My music tastes have serious range! Not only do I love alternative rock like Rainbow Kitten Surprise and The Strokes, but I love 80s classic singer-song writers like Billy Joel, James Taylor, and Jim Croce.
I am also a big fan of bedroom/low-fi influenced pop (Cuco, khai dreams, Mac Miller) and even Tejano music.

I wrote a research paper last year on online hate speech / abuse, and TikTok actually adopted some of my suggestions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to bake American sweets like brownies, sugar cookies, pies, cupcakes, and gingerbread houses (okay that's more European, but still!).

I make an excellent American breakfast. I'd be happy to prepare one for you! Scrambled eggs (or an omelet!), sausage, French Toast, Bacon, pancakes... I do it all!

I can teach you how to long board. If there was an ocean nearby, I could teach you how to surf.

I could teach you how to row if you have access to a rowing club nearby.

I can elaborate on American politics, and I am happy to gripe about the poor decision of tech companies in Silicon Valley.
