I grew up in Australia but caught the travel bug quite early from my parents. We lived in the UK and travelled through some of Europe. Since then I've been on so many amazing trips of my own. I've lived in the UK for ten years now.
I'm sociable, friendly and considerate. I enjoy a lot of different things like loud evenings in the pub, quiet days in coffee shops or a park, cooking, art galleries, endless tea and chats.
I'm a science teacher and am passionate about science communication. I've worked in a science museum presenting shows and have worked collaboratively with the science museum in London to promote science careers and improving life outcomes for young people.
I'm actively involved with a rowing club on the Thames. It takes over my life but I love it.
A couple of years ago I left my job to go traveling for a year. I haven't regretted a single second of the travel I've done throughout my life. It inspires me and challenges me. I've met so many exceptional people who have enriched all aspects of my life.

I love traveling and have seen a lot of places but my most memorable travel experiences have been with people, other travellers and locals. I often travel to visit friends and love having experiences that are authentic and local. I love meeting new people and I love sharing stories. Stories enrich our lives.

I also want to meet people coming to London. I want to share this fantastic city, it's got so much to give that isn't imediately obvious to visitors. I love discovering new things in my city when people are visiting.

Rowing. It keeps me fit and is a constant challenge but it's also my london community.
Experiencing new cultures. Finding out about different cultural histories. Going on adventures.
Horse riding. I rode through my childhood and take any opportunity that comes my way these days.
Rock climbing, dancing(swing and ceilidh), hiking, cycling and reading.
FOOD! My favourite thing about travel is trying all the amazing food. Also cooking using fresh local ingredients.
Gardens, historic houses/palaces and crockery. Sigh! England is full of these things. Hard not to get involved.

Anything that illicits an emotional response. I love movies that make me think and reassess. I love different music depending on the day. I love the radio because it introduces me to new things.
I love comedy. I absolutely adore laughing. I love live performances. It's great to feel part of something.

Doing the pilgrim 4 day trek to Machu picchu was a highlight.
Doing some English language sessions for big brother mouse with Laos children in Luang Prabang. I loved the students enthusiasm and I loved feeling like my English skills were useful to someone else.
Swimming in lake baikal (Siberia!) at midnight.
Deep water soloing (rock climbing over the sea) in Ha long bay.
Cycling along the south coast of England.
