We are the product of 27 years of a conscious loving soulmate relationship - married for 24 of those years.

We've lived on the road, aka "Van life" for 14 months traveling the USA, tent camping as much as possible. We now live in Oregon, enjoying the beautiful diversity of this state.

We are open minded, grounded, and spiritual in nature. We practice meditation, open honest communication, understanding and compassion. Clean and respectful.

We are both artists. Burke is a fine art nature photographer who infuses philosophy and poetry into his work. Shannon creating stunning bridal accessories in addition to other artistic ventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We enjoy meeting and connecting with a diverse range of personalities. Whether it's the simplicity of good company, sharing laughs, and getting to know each other, or the complexity of discussing the mysteries of this wondrous universal human experience.

We are firm believers in exchanging energy and would love to provide some meals, cooking, cleaning or anything else that we can do to help out when we are staying with others. If you are staying with us, we are happy to cook a meal, take you around town and/or go exploring with you.

Interests

Meditation, photography, hiking, camping, art, music, enjoying a glass of wine, or beer, and occasionally a cocktail. Sunsets, sunrises. Anything beautiful :)

Quality time with friends. Cooking and consuming delicious foods. Animal lovers. Exploring and adventuring, spontaneity, going with the flow, chatting about life and philosophy, caring and being of service to others in need.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burke (husband) moved from Ohio to California at the age of 19 to be with me and raise my children with me, took a leap of faith and left everything behind!

Shannon (me) risked it all to be with my husband of now 24 years. Our relationship has been an amazing, life changing adventure that keeps evolving and growing. This, and bringing our beautiful daughter into the world are the most amazing things that we have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mostly just LIFE. Our belief and experience is that we're all here to be teachers to each other, teachers of how to love, grow, be humble, be of service. We enjoy meeting people with real life experiences that we can learn from, and be a reflection for. People who have grown and evolved over their years.

Husband has internet, graphic design, and photography skills. Wife loves to cook, is artistic, and is a homemaker.
