ABOUT ME

Yikes, all about me...us... I think that this is a hard question. I am 24 have lived in Milwaukee my whole life, worked in the nonprofit and museum indistry since I was 17, finishing my masters degree and eventually going on for my PhD in a year or so. I am an artist at hear, thrive on chaos and am the product of two social worker parents which has made me a die hard left leaning liberal who loves to debate anything and everything. I paint, take pictures (love lomographics!) and write things for my friends. I like to collect small things that I can take pictures of... there's alot about me, but most importantly I live to travel, Im the kind of person that gets some extra money and goes and travels, I make a point to do at least one month long trip per year and I love to take people with me to show them beautiful and amazing places that I have already explored. My roomate Megan... I can't say quite as much of course, but she is 23 finishing a degree in conservation biology. We met at a biological station I was working at in Costa Rica where she was also studying and then ended up being "Wildlife Technicians" (a fancy way of saying Invasive-Species-Pickers) at the DNR together, became instant friends and now live together. She also loves to travel, knows Ireland really well and definitely likes to party when the opportunity arises. We are planning a 3 month long trip through Europe and North Africa together next summer... yay! She also likes art, takes great photographs and likes plants as much as I do... we even have an organic garden with cucumbers, beans, radishes, herbs and a variety of peppers.

We're interested in meeting people from all over and think that Milwaukee tends to be overlooked, but really is a hidden gem in the U.S.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sleeping on a plastic couch in Seattle at a friends house and waking up in the middle of the night to my friends standing on chairs with brooms because there was a family of rats that had just walked through the kitchen...
