ABOUT ME

I am a traveler at heart and always will be. I recently came home to Texas after teaching English in Thailand for two years. I am currently trying to realize my life-long dream of traveling in France. I have always felt a special connection to French cinema, literature, art, and FOOD! Here in the States, I work some office job to support my real dreams of singing, dancing, and acting. In my free time, I paint and practice karate.

PHILOSOPHY

Live without regrets. I am living my dream every single day. I get to have wonderful experiences, meet incredible people, and learn great things, several times a day, just by staying alive!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to CS, so my first participation will be as a surfer. As soon as I return from my travels, I am looking forward to sharing my home with fellow couch surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore French and Spanish cinema: Indochine, Amelie, La Piscine, Abre los Ojos, Mujeres al Borde de un Ataque de Nervios, Volver...and many more. My tastes in music are eclectic. I listen to everything from classical, jazz, and Motown to indie, country, and electronic music. My favorite book of all time is Love in the Time of Cholera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I have to pick one, it was riding yaks in the Himalayas around a frozen lake in Sikkhim, Northeastern India.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am passionate about food and cooking. I pick up recipes everywhere I go, and I used to work as a personal chef. I can teach you some Thai and Cambodian recipes from cooking classes I took there, and I make a great cafecito cubano.
