ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy going and independent. I can be a little introverted at times but balance this with a healthy dose of quirkiness.
I grew up in Southern California but I was born in Johannesburg and return there to see family semi-frequently. I moved to New York in 2005 to study Writing, English, and the Sociology of Language, among other things. In 2007 and 2008 I discovered couchsurfing while studying abroad in Cape Town and Paris. I currently live in Brooklyn.
PHILOSOPHY
"I still believe this world has no higher meaning. But I believe something in this world has meaning, and that is man, because he is the only creature who demands it."
- Albert Camus, Letters to a German Friend

Teach, Learn, Share
I can tie shoes and scarves pretty well and I can also blow a pretty mean bubble. I can teach you some Afrikaans and Xhosa and how to eat a cupcake correctly. I want to learn any useless and useful things you can teach me, in that order.
