Hi! My name is Sharie. I am originally from San Diego, CA, lived in Los Angeles for two years, and currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area (I've been here for about a decade now in various locations). I am married and together we have been slowly exploring all of California - it's a huge state! - and beyond. I take a lot of solo trips as well. I love going on road trips, taking trains, hiking, campfires, swimming, and enjoying a good meal or drink...and am always chasing after good vibes. Some of my favorite places are Kauai, HI, Ferndale, CA, Sedona, AZ, NYC, and the English country side. I am looking to keep adding to my list!

I am friendly with a good sense of humor (at least this is what people have told me!) though I am definitely on the introverted side. I am not a person who wants to go clubbing, and don't need to be babysat while traveling. I like alone time and quiet time. I'm comfortable doing things on my own. That said, I do love to hang out with other people and hear their life experiences over some beers and nosh, and sharing adventure stories and jokes.

My music tastes range from everything from 60's garage / pop to 80's dark wave. The only types of music I don't care for are new country and reggae. Everything else is pretty much fair game. My favorite movies are Harold + Maude, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ghost World, and Happy Gilmore (hey - it's not great art, but it always makes me laugh!). I also love Monty Python. I enjoying reading, I don't discriminate... from Game of Thrones to classics like A Good Man is Hard to Find.

I don't know if this counts as "amazing", but one of my favorite memories is floating on my back in Hanalei Bay, and staring up as the clouds moved by above. I couldn't hear anything because my ears were beneath the water. The combination of the overwhelming silence, being weightless in the water, and watching the sky was probably the closest to "nirvana" I could imagine achieving.

Another would be driving out in the middle of nowhere in Northern California in the middle of a perfectly clear winters night and seeing the sky completely illuminated with stars, and glimpsing the Milky Way.
