ABOUT ME

Hey,

My name is Rob and I am very interested in traveling and meeting other people. I just finished my study as primary school teacher. It is great to help children. Children are such spontaneous, enthusiastic, full of energy beings. At this moment I am not ready to work in my country as a teacher, because I don't think the school-system suits me very well, that's also why I would go to travel the world to see more!

I'm an adventurous, enthusiastic person. Enjoying life through a lot of things. Here in my hometown Groningen, I do a lot of sports just for having fun, I'm not an athletic person. Especially these warm months, (in the winter i do not have that motivation, hahah, but it's fine). I play tennis, table tennis, football; I like surfing, sailing, swimming, playing frisbee, etc,etc; I like to be in the nature a lot, I love music and art, I like being with friends. I also discovered (four years ago) that meditation is something I'm really interested in.
I'm more of a guy that can be very active and social in some way and I also need to live in balance with this, so I spend time on meditation (alone and with others), being in nature, listening to music, being creative, being aware of the moment!

I worked as a gardener in a botanical garden. I worked as a caretaker, in this function I was responsible for providing support for children living in difficult circumstances. A functioned as a confidant for children and aided them in their social and intellectual development. I worked as a teacher, this entailed carrying the responsibility for a group of children, and guiding them in their social-emotional and moral development. I worked as a personal tutor, this function entailed providing personal guidance to some various students and children's.

I also like to paint or to build, using my hands.
I experienced with making my own tint/paint. I used lineseed oil, quark, natural pigments and sometimes I used egg yolk. I mixed these ingredients with a mortar and it was ready to use. If you want I can send some pictures of the result. Maybe you know Hundertwasser, an artist from Austria who also used natural pigments. These are living paintings, those colours are really pure.

Ohh, those moments are everywhere! Therefor you don't need to travel. Making a campfire in the wood with a friend of mine last month was a fantastic moment....
