About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to be the change I want to see in the world.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a difficult neighborhood of Rome. After college I went to London for a few months, where I had some time to think about my life. I couldn't imagine myself sitting behind a desk, doing a normal job. Therefore, once I returned to Italy I graduated in Peace Sciences. Then I worked as a social worker in a homeless shelter and in 2008 I had my first peacebuilding experience in Kosovo. In 2009 I started traveling around the world trying to avoid using planes and paying attention to the ecological footprint of the trip which took me through more than 50 countries before returning to Rome in 2012. Since 2012 I have lived permanently in Rome where I built my family, got married and with my wife we have two children. During those years I became an entrepreneur. Despite this, after a few years of adaptation I started traveling again, partly with my family, partly I continued to follow some conflicts around the world. In 2013 I went to Congo for a humanitarian project. In 2019 in Lebanon, in a refugee camp on the border with Syria. In 2022 in Ukraine during the current war. In 2023 in the West Bank living in a Palestinian village.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, since I joined Cs I have always been moving from place to place, so I never had the opportunity to host anyone.
So far, I participated in the CS project by meeting people in their own environments and seeing how it really is to live there and sharing my own experience of people and places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used mostly Cs in Indonesia, where I met many new friends.

Interests

photographing (I use to sell picture of my travel) reading (In my backpack there are always at least three books)
I like any kind of sport
