My name is Sharley Paul and I am currently studying to be a midwife, as well as completing doula training. I'm a mother to a sweet toddler who gives my life exquisite purpose! I'm a writer; I develop stories based on my life experiences to encourage others. Hopefully, I will write a book one day!

My Philosophy
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is everyone and as we let our own light shine, we consciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be visiting the city of Chicago this month! I'll be attending a communications conference and I'm hoping to find great hosts in a safe place!

Interests

I am a big believer of the power of affirmations. My routine consists of yoga and meditation in the morning after a round of affirmations and gratitude prayers. Then it's off to to manifest a great day!
