CURRENT MISSION

To make a success of my premium denim fashion brand, Mahout that makes limited-edition finely crafted jeans for gentlemen using selvedge denim. This mission is going to take me places within the country and perhaps further away from home too:)

ABOUT ME

Easy going person. Not big on planning too far ahead so I guess you could say I am impulsive. Am open to adventure and am not risk averse either. Lived in Goa for almost 5 years so have had my fill of partying. Don't believe in substance abuse. Life has enough to offer if you wanna get high. I now prefer quieter evenings with friends or interesting people that I meet. Quite a foodie. Cheesecakes are a definite weakness. Good cinema and white wine are other indulgences. Modern Indian art and the British Raj fascinate me. Trekking and cycling are recent additions to my activities. Bad swimmer. Good runner. Hope to learn how to surf someday. Till then I'll settle for learning French. Always learning. Quiz junkie. Ebay and Wikipedia are my favourite websites. Moderately active on social network sites.

Love all. Learn from all. Do not discriminate. Have good manners. Be polite. Respect women. Nurture children. Enjoy a good beer. Say thank you often. Be humble. Be a source of comfort and joy to friends and those around you. Be honest. Don't mock or seek to take advantage of those not as fortunate as yourself. Laugh at yourself. Believe.

Someone I met while I was in England is an active surfer. Heard of his experiences around the world and thought it was an amazing initiative to bring our world closer.

Novice. Early days still. Have opened my account as a host by having an amazing surfer and CS ambassador (now friend) from Jakarta stay with me :)

Most of what interests me is listed in the 'all about you' bit. Musically open to genres. Jango.com gives me my fix :)Love karaoke. Used to have a band in school in which I was the only student; the rest were teachers.

Music: Rock n roll, classic rock, Brit pop, chillout and lounge, world music, folk fusion. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Adele, The Killers, Moby, Enya, Fat Boy Slim, Paul Oakenfold, Talvin Singh, Prem Joshua.

Movies: Way to many to list. NOT a big fan of mainstream Bollywood.

Books: I read mostly European fiction and in non-fiction mostly travelogues and (auto)biographies. Among Indian authors, Amitav Ghosh is my favourite. Brazil by John Updike and Love in the Time of Cholera are my two favourites books. I have read some works by Kafka, Camus and Dostoevsky and find them fascinating.
