My goal is to write and update my books and do more real estate investing.

ABOUT ME

I'm a mom of three (they live elsewhere) and I'm into the second phase of my life now, writing my books, doing research on highly varied topics and working on methods to build passive income, including real estate investing. My goal is to have the freedom to live and travel wherever I want or need to go, and still eek out a living, while continuing to enjoy life. I love being surrounded by beauty, and am now living on the east coast with my Canadian husband.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a live and let live person. I give respect and expect respect in return. I get along with most everyone, and am fascinated with people and what makes them tick. Even though I'm a social scientist/cultural anthropologist I am actually an introvert so enjoy alone time, so also respect other peoples' space. I like making new friends and would love to travel more.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't couch-surfed officially yet but I think I'm getting the hang of it. My RV trailer got snowed in one winter so I went "couch surfing" with friends and co-workers! We also have people (friends, one of whom is an avid couchersurfer) stay at our place, although not yet through the couchsurfing website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Staying with friends and people I know, on their couch, beds, cots, the floor, whatever! Time to venture out into the world now...

兴趣

I like everything diverse - cultural anthropology, spiritual (not religious/dogmatic) conversations including shamanism (the only near-universal "religion" in the world), UFO's and bigfoot (I've spoken at conferences on these topics), passive solar home design and alternative construction, homesteading and gardening.

I don't watch TV these days, and it's hard to keep up with new movies, but I really do enjoy watching movies! I read books when I have time, but most of my time is spent writing them, when I'm not busy with "life."

The chance to work with low-income community members in west Texas, southern New Mexico, and Mexico through project management of 3 grant projects for installing solar water distillers in rural colonias (unincorporated communities lacking infrastructure). Perhaps the grand canyon, and other places I've been and seen are also amazing, but touching peoples' lives in a positive way by far means more to me!
