Hello,
I am a teacher at a university, which gives me lots of vacation to indulge in continent hoping. For the past few years my heart has been steering me to Latin America. I am about to embark on my 7th solo trip there. I love learning about new cultures, meeting the locals, hiking, waterfalls, the ocean. I am vegetarian. I am very friendly and approachable. I make friends wherever I go, and I have been lucky to cross paths with amazing fellow travelers and locals that have enriched my experiences. I also love dancing, so I usually check out the local latin dance scene of whichever city I am in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Friends and fellow travelers that I meet have been telling me for a long time about couch surfing but I was apprehensive as a solo female traveler. Traveling alone can be lonely at times, and I thought this would be a nice way of having a contact in the new place that I am exploring, and the possibility of making a friend there too. I love meeting other travelers and hearing their stories and sharing mine, from what I have been told it is similar types of souls that open up their homes to couch surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most latin music, Mana, Joaquin Sabina, Estopa, Shakira (her old songs), and music from Portuguese speaking African countries. I also grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Oasis, Stereophonics, The Police.

Last year I hiked Machuu Pichu! Wow it's tough to think of just one thing!
