ABOUT ME

I am working full time as the director of a small university library, but what interests me most is helping people help themselves. I do this by participating in many service organizations, such as SERVAS, AAUW, Hadassah and NCJW. I am married and have four grown children and we enjoy our times together, although it is getting more rare as they move along with their lives.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is tikkun olam. It means to repair the world. I believe we have to make the world a better place, any way we know how.

I enjoy hosting people and sharing stories about life over a good meal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have never been a couchsurfing traveler, but I have hosted others. I am a member of Servas for more than 30 years. I have hosted people from many countries while I lived in New York, and now that I am in Florida and I have never once had a bad experience. I love meeting new people and learning new things.

I like reading, trying out new recipes and new cuisines, having great conversations and making new friends.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love British classics, mostly 19th century, but I will read almost anything that is well written. The only movies I don't like are horror films. I like lots of types of music. It carries us to different places and times. It is a way to unwind and relax, so I like it mellow and meaningful. I also love Broadway musicals, and silly ditties too!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One amazing thing I have done is to have four amazing kids who like to share their lives with me. I learn so much from them all the time. One amazing place I have been to is to be on top of Mount Desert in Maine to be at the easternmost spot to watch the sun rise, and years later, in Mallory Square, Key West, Florida to be at the southermost spot to see it go down. (Not in the same day!)Just beautiful.

I can teach anyone how to do good research, especially on the internet. I am a research professional, in other words, a librarian. We are so much more than books!

We can share our evenings and weekends, relaxing over a good meal, going to the beach, taking walks in nature, going to local festivals, and more. You let us know your interests and we can find something fun to do.
