About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live in a state of genuine thankfulness and undaunted joy.

ABOUT ME

Some polish homeless guys spent a fair amount of time trying to figure this one out: she dresses like a "gypsy," lives in faith, drinks more tea than the British, values the human connection more than money and security and comfort.

PHILOSOPHY

"The geographical pilgrimage is the symbolic acting out of an inner journey. The inner journey is of the meanings and signs of the outer journey. One can have one without the other. It is better to have both."
Thomas Merton

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I've been enjoying this newfound surfing experience. Looking forward to doing some hosting when I get home!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Canterbury, Cambridge, Glasgow, and Lancaster. Hosted a number of friends of friends, from Australia, Norway, Manchester... none through couchsurfing yet though!

Interests

I am interested in squeezing the juice out of life and appreciating every sip. Sharing life with friends & strangers. Enjoying chocolate, dancing, flowers and trees and music... Theatre and art and everyday adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Many. The kind that make you think, that challenge and inspire and paint beautiful pictures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a camel in the Negev dessert. Swam in the mineral pools on a mountain in Mexico. Survived a sinking fishing boat in Hudsons Bay near Coral Harbour, where no one responds to SOS calls. Seen the beauty in streetlamps and cherry blossoms and fresh snow... Grinned at strangers everywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can mend things, and recycle old clothing etc into something patched or screenprinted or re-designed. I can teach the basics of Latin dancing, but am still learning how to lead. I can also bake yummy cookies and have a strange love for doing the washing up.

One day I want to learn to speak Spanish. And play the guitar. And know more about gardening.
