I have been married to my husband Wayne for 30 years (boy has that gone fast). We have 3 kids (who aren't so little any more :-) and a georgeous granddaughter. We live on a sheep and beef farm in Central Southland which we love because the enviroment is beutiful.... the hills, the green grass and the easy access to the wonders of Southland. We are only 30 minutes to Invercargill, 5 minutes to Winton (a small rural town) and within a couple of hours of Dunedin, Queenstown, Te Anau and the Caitlins and some of the most amazing walking and cycling tracks. Life is good!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A number of years ago, when our daughter was in Brazil on student exchange, we went over to meet her and travel through Brazil. It was then that we caught the travel bug and have since been enjoying exploring the world. However we have really come to enjoy is the people and culutres and so we see couchsurfing as a way of connecting with people and places at a more authentic level.
- meeting new people
- love travelling
- walking and cycling
