Hey! I'm Shashank — a Mumbai local for the past 10 years, originally from North India, currently working with Walmart in the world of global commerce.

My job takes me across borders, but it’s the people, stories, and late-night chai-fueled conversations that make each trip unforgettable. At home, I live with my wife and our overly friendly dog, Captain, who believes everyone enters our home solely to meet him (and he’s usually right). We live in a peaceful family house in Mumbai, and I’d love to host fellow travelers looking for short stays — whether you’re here to explore the city, its food, or just take a breather in a local home.

Because I truly believe that travel isn't just about seeing places — it's about connecting with people. Couchsurfing feels like a doorway to that deeper kind of experience.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to travel for work and meet people from different walks of life. The most memorable moments weren’t in fancy hotels or sightseeing tours, but in shared meals, conversations about life, and learning how others see the world.

Hosting travelers in Mumbai is my way of giving back to that spirit — to open up my home, share my city the way locals live it, and maybe swap a few good stories along the way. Plus, my dog Captain insists on more guests — he’s the real host here.
