Hi, I’m Shashwat, a documentary filmmaker and media producer based in India, running my own company called Docuberg Media. Over the past year, I’ve been traveling across India and Nepal on my motorcycle, exploring the diverse cultures and landscapes of the region. My journey has taken me through various modes of transport—from cycling across states to hopping on local buses—always with a passion for connecting with people and discovering new perspectives.

As a storyteller, I’m fascinated by the rich experiences and local insights that travel brings, and I love to share and learn from fellow travelers. Whether it’s through deep conversations, cooking together, or exploring hidden gems, I believe in the power of connection and exchange.

The monotony of a solo traveller can often set in and in the last 3 years I have noticed a massive shift in Hostel culture in India. Mainly motivated by Staycations there only a few places let where people actually interact in a hostel anymore. Getting to know people and slow travel is my jam and Couchsurfing allows me to pursue that in its most authentic form
